Distributed Programming in the Age of Microservices and Polyglot Containers

Distributed programming used to mean ESB with complex CORBA/RMI 2PC setups and enterprise backends. Microservices and containers made distributed systems the default but also simplified them considerably. In this panel discussion we will re-examine what it means to be a distributed system in 2021 and review the current challenges in building and connecting such systems today.
